My Pro Wireless keeps muting itself and won’t unmute. I unplug the transmitter base & it’ll unmute but as soon as I plug that back in, bam, muted. No fix for it either that I can find. Pretty annoying for a $300+ headset. I really like them except for this stupid issue that no one seems to know how to fix.

@remote turtle is it muting the playing sound when it's quiet, and it doesn't cut in again unless something louder happens? If so you probably have the audio output set to the Chat endpoint, which has some noise gate stuff built in. I've never heard before of an issue where it mutes and requires an actual replug

The audio itself is fine but not the mic. I did a fresh install of the engine, it started out ok then reverted back to being muted again.
I’ve literally tried everything I can think of. Switched USB ports, new headsets out of the box & it still happens. Not sure if an engine problem at this point or what. I’ve seen other posts around where others have or have had the issue. Also now getting an odd notification on the pc saying that the computer doesn’t recognize it. I can pop a pic in if needed but I’m fairly confident that it’s not my computer seeing as I’ve tried different ports

hm...haven't heard of a random mic muting problem. If you're getting a notification that the device isn't recognized that's probably a bad sign - that's usually an indication that you should hit up support (if you're still in warranty)

I’ve been through 5 Wireless pros though =/ Before I switched to SteelSeries I had had a different headset that lasted 6 years & the only reason I switched from that was I got sick of replacing the chat adapters from Microsoft. The headset that replaced that one worked fine as well except that I wanted to go wireless so I looked to SteelSeries. So I’ve now been through 5 wireless pros all with issues & a 9X that I can’t stand due to poor audio quality, low volume, constant disconnects & audio constantly cutting out.
I really really really want to give you guys all my support because I really do like your headsets but the issues that I’m constantly having make it super hard for me to support you guys, especially when I’ve told everyone I know to go to you guys for headsets.

it's the switch that's magnetic, not the keycap
you can clean them like any other type of keycap, gently with soap and water (and let them dry before putting them back on)

found a really odd issue, soo i wanted to test ( really high DPI and low in game ses to see how it felt ) i tryed 4800 dpi with 0.25 then i wanted to try 16000 at 0.1 in game sen and i found that if i'm moving fast ( passed the 1000hz polling in game it would randomly lose track and like go 1 to 1 for a frame then my aim goes all over the place
am i over thinking that if your moving fast where the 1000hz is having issue keeping up that its can cause issue having anything really passed 1000dpi 🤔
since all it will do is drop packet from the last one and soo your left with a skippy mouse
i was playing osu at 16000dpi at 0.1 ses and well my game was fine untill i hit 1000hz polling rate

its one of those arbitrary limits that you hear, but never see in action
people have overclocked their mouses to have 8khz and polling rate confirmed both on a oscilloscope and in software.
there are mouses that DONT support 8khz, but that would be borderline insanity, to why would people limit it to 1000hz.
same goes for refreshrates on monitor, we tought that 60hz would be enough for CRT's, then 85hz, then 100hz, then 144hz with LCD/CRT then 165hz then 185hz then 240hz then 480hz then 16 000hz panel made by nvidya

you can only get lower input lag thats handled by the cpu/gpu side, but thats up to the specific game, but overall, frametime is lowered by an CPU more than the GPU

I think that's a cool option for who wants the power of Switch and the flexibility of the 2DS XL. The only think I don't understand is why Nintendo called it a Switch. There's no switching going on, it is just a new mobile console...and they basically screwed the whole marketing thing behind the Switch name.
Apart from that I think that it will sell like hot-cakes...my girfriend is already looking out for one, she basically never plays in front of a display bigger than 10"... 😹

Mmm...I had a similar issue with my keyboard and mouse and I found that was caused by another device causing issues to the USB-controller of my motherboard...

I don't know if basing it on the SteamVR app will work, as the SSE app detection works on what is currently in the foreground
If you don't already use Prism Sync, you could set up your Prism Sync to be illumination disabled and bind a key to toggle the app on and off

So have just had my Arctis 9x headset about a week now and overal its great BUT the max volume on this headset is too quiet!, compared to my Astro A50's they are half as loud again!. I have read that the other Arctis headsets have a audio limiter option that can be turned off but apparently the 9x dont have this. My on earth is this not included in the SSE3 program and can it be added via an update!?

@stray axle Yeah i did and all i got back was there in no Audio Limiter option for the 9x despite them being the same drivers as found in the 7x and that has an audio limiter option you can disable which boosts the audio no end!

it works
but i cant change any settings from engine
since it just says firmware update failed

And the braiding is coming off
