Well, when i change it so gamedac game is on primary device and gamedac chat is on primary communication it still doesn't work with the chatmixer so adjust on discord because when i change it to gamedac chat on discord there is no sound from whomever i talk to

The Rival110 doesn't save settings onto the mouse itself

however i do believe by using SteelSeries Engine it's possible to put your settings onto the cloud storage

all SteelSeries mice save some settings onboard, including the Rival 110, but that one is only capable of saving static lighting onboard, not lighting effects

Would hope that they take the time of unavailability to increase the lifetime of the headbands too. Not hating (looking a few posts further up) but not really satisfied with paying 180€ for something that has dying parts (headbands) that cost 15€ per piece + shipping and are not available for months (or even years now, lost track) 😉 I am through 4 of them since I bought it. And with the last one it makes no difference if it is on or not. It is so loose that there is no room between the band and the metal anymore 😦

So according to ss-mike on reddit the colored headbands are done for, but there were supposed to be standard replacement headbands for the A7 available by march. So MAYBE there is still hope. Will recheck in another month or so ...

Okay, so I'm one of those weirdo's that prefers to have mouse acceleration... and if I'm moving my mouse while the software starts up, I lose the acceleration and my mouse shows as "disconnected"

So I have to make sure everytime I start up, I can't move my mouse until the software appears in my task bar

I contacted support about this issue and they think it's a hardware problem, but I don't see how it could be. The mouse works fine after the software is started and detects the mouse. I also tried it on a different computer as well and it did the same thing

Support wanted me to destroy my mouse so they could send me a replacement, but I'm not gonna destroy my mouse just because I have to wait a few seconds before using it

The default windows acceleration isn't enough

I know nobody else uses acceleration but I don't really use the mouse for gaming and I don't like making big sweeping motions with my hand, but I also don't like how fast the cursor moves when trying to make slow precise clicks

If acceleration is disabled, the mouse still shows disconnected when I open the software but no difference is felt because acceleration is software based so it’s not stored in the mouse. The mouse still works but the software won’t recognize the mouse if I’m moving the cursor while the software is starting up.

So anything that requires the driver will not work when my mouse isn’t recognized

Close the software, then while it's opening, flick the cursor around until the window opens and you'll see that it shows disconnected

IIRC it can do that based on disconnection from interference. It happens once in a while when I walk to the office kitchen while the microwave is on.
