Either way using the jack in the controller is the only way to get chat audio

I know this sounds like a dumb question but i just want to make sure that it is true because when i use my wireless s840s , if i do wired it becomes where the mic doesn't allow input

@stark rampart Normally I use my s840s connected from the transmitter to the USB and then i connect the s840s by the wireless mode whicih is 2.4G and the mic works and my laptop recognises it and everything. But i mean its probably true, that the analog cable that the headset comes with won't let you use the mic wired. So I was just testing that using analog cable the mic doesn't work. so i was wonering if i were to connect my s840s from its 3.5mm jack on the headset to the gameDAC then to my laptop 3.5mm port if the laptop will recognize the microphone and the gameDAC and it will work with s840s.

But I feel like this is a very common issue for new Arctis 5 users, maybe SteelSeries Team, you should make some tutorials for this on the website in the support center - and not just for the Arctis 7.

Ok if i have the siberia840s and i buy the gameDAC I know that it defeats the purpose of the transmitter and makes it wired, but will the microphone still work wired? And Would i be able to get the full support since the siberia's only have 40mm head drivers and 20000Hz? Because normally with the analog cable, the microphone won't work. Thank you if you read this

Well i can tell you my story on how i found steelseries. It all began because i wanted a universal wireless headset and then i bought the siberia 840s lol
Very good product i had no problems with them. It did take a while for the ear cups to get smooshy
the first month was ROUGH but i didn't give up on them. It was just so factory solid

ok exactly like my mother's PC is a 2009 HP and after 9 years the shift key doesn't work, the 5 and 6 keys dont work and i think the O key doesn't work. Plus its slow af maybe because the HDD just has too many installs and uninstalls of stuff idk.
