1000DPI/CPI means that if you move the mouse 1 inch your cursor will move 1000 pixels

Hi all, I noticed that steelseries engine won’t connect to my rival 110 mouse on startup, unless I don’t touch it until after the steelseries engine loads in the taskbar. Anyone else have this issue? They want me to RMA it but it sounds like a software glitch rather than hardware.

Do you mean the Chat Mixer? I've noticed that with the dial but if you change your sound settings to (Headset Arctis 5 Chat) it should fix your problem. @stray axle

@hollow fjord It depends on what you mean. If you mean can they effect what your actual latency is, then no. But some games render things in such a way that being CPU or GPU bottlenecked behaves the same way as network lag

Well you see on console, on BO4 and another game, ( looking up at the sky ) my ping time is what it should be stable within a 1ms diffence... but i look at the map get a few frame drop ( from 60 to 54fps ) and looking at my ping time in game and my ping time is higher. i know console are CPU bottle neck soo my idea was that the CPU is under too much load and is delaying network packets

@stray axle leaving your pc on for a long amount of time will not damage it as long as it is overheating, generally, however after doing it consistently it will wear down the parts ever so slightly, and it is a waste of power. Also, be aware that leaving it on long enough, using it or idle, will sometimes cause a computer to perform worse if it hasn't been restarted in long enough. I suggest just turning it off or restarting it regularly for the best and most consistent results. Even if your is good leaving it on long enough can still do weird things sometimes. One time I legit had mine on for like 10 hours, probably half of which I actually used it, and then it started fps dropping really badly and it never does, and I have a good computer, with good cooling. It's pretty normal, so unless you are downloading something, like you said you were, turn it off. Sleep is not quite as good still.

anyone else questioning the release of the stratus duo? I just dont see a big enough difference for someone with the XL to go and buy the duo.

I know that you can play the duo with it plugged in. But i guess if you already have a controller. Its not really an upgrade(as far as i know i dont know any differences)

The 2.4GHz connection option is a serious upgrade over Bluetooth for PC gaming (lower latency, connecting multiple works better), and there's zero setup or software required. The hardware and ergonomics got an upgrade, the joysticks are higher precision, the triggers are much better. We wouldn't be releasing it if we didn't think it was a significant improvement @long pagoda @tawny basin

well @mellow nymph there is a serious advantage to using mouse and keyboard so most of the gaming ppl do with controller is on the phone

and both XL and duo have bluetooth for mobile

2.4GHz vs Bluetooth is a massive upgrade. Latency on bluetooth is completely unacceptable for competitive gaming use

If you are mostly a casual gamer and response time doesn't matter as much for you AND if you are happy with how buttons and triggers feel, then you're good to keep rocking the XL for a little while longer 😉

I have the steel series artics 5 headset for some reason it won't work when I plug it into the usb adapter the adaptor light blinks on and off but theres no sound and the run on the headset doesent light up wod it be the cable that's busted or the adaptor?
