But I don't see the problem? They're giving you a brand new product rather than attempting to repair. That's great service imo. What's the difference between you destroying the product or you first shipping it back only to have SteelSeries destroy it.
If they sent you a new one without asking you to destroy it, then it would be abused by people trying to get an extra product for free.

See the thing is it's not my product that's the problem. It's the steelseries engine. I have a steelseries prism mousepad and the rgb only works on two zones of the 12. Everytime I try to go to the steelseries engine and fix it it doesn't work and nothing changes. I contacted steelseries about this and all they said was to destroy the item. See the thing is the mousepad isn't broken. I've tested it out on my Mac and it didn't have a problem. I think it's my PC or something. So I contacted steelseries. Instead of actually helping me they just told me to destroy it. Who knows when I buy a new one it will probably have the same problem and I will need to destroy it again to get a new one

See the thing is I plug it into my PC and it has that problem. Plug it into my Mac though, no problems at all. I think it's my PC has some problem with steelseries products. But only steelseries can fix that. Instead they tell me to break it and get a new one and the problem might persist again

The sides of the mousepad doesn't light up. Only the top and bottom of the mousepad lights up. Specifically zone 10 and zone 4. When I switch effects on the steelseries engine it doesn't work on the mousepad it doesn't change still.

I've heard of it coming out from udner the side grips, but it didnt happen to me
instead the adhesive started failing so it wasnt sticky, but the side grips slot into the sides and are held really well

I had issue with customs, and was asked to pay them by SS but I declined and asked them to solve it and re-ship but even though they did re-ship it took them 3 months and about 140£ of my order was missing, I was later told to not contact them anymore and got banned. What can I do to receive my full order? I did RMA and ordered more items because of no-custom/no-ship-fee even though I paid for shipping because of some kind of technical error on site. I was also told that SteelSeries headset I bought wasn't covered by warranty, for some reason, but even then that headset was 70£
I'm legit asking for advice from others, I know support isn't here sadly.

Say you use it with your phone, it needs a different equalizer.
It's not applied in the software of the headset itself, it's applied in the software of the device you're using it with.

Hey, not asking for support - but I want to know if others experience the same issues as I do. I wonder if this is a common issue.
I have the Arctis 7 headset, using windows 10 (pro). At first, everything worked smoothly, but eventually I couldn't get the microfone to work in any windows apps besides the Steelseries Engine. When I set it to hear myself through the mic, I do.
It also works perfectly when connecting through the phone, so the headset itself is fine, but I am completely unable to get it to work through doscord, slack or browser. I suspect drivers on windows are the issue, but I have installed all updates I get from Steelseries Engine and nothing changes.

There is a master button that turns on or off ALL APPS ALLOWED TO USE MICROPHONE, of course me being a gamer 😎 i wouldnt ever turn it off. But for some reason windows decided to?

Bought Arctis 3 Headset and WOW they fit so tight around the head it gave me a headache. Returned them - will be sticking to my sennheisers which fit more comfortably.

@high bough Here's what you should know. 9900k, don't get it. Not worth the price at all. 9700k, almost as good, worth it. It is much more heat efficient than the 8700k, and more powerful, but it is more expensive. 2700x, price to performance king for mainstream flagship cpus, 80-90% the performance of the 9900k in anything that is multithreaded, but half the price or so. All of these cpus are good for streaming, because they all have 6+ cores, so honestly you'd be fine with any of them if you know what you are doing. If you get the 8700k, just know, it's the hottest cpu out of all the ones I just named. You will for sure need some kinda of good liquid cooling. IDK if an aio is a good idea I forgot what's ok with it, but I suggest if you are confident, that you get an ek fluid gaming watercooling kit for it, and you can also cool your gpu if you want, but then you may want to consider buying another radiator depending on how much you overclock your stuff and your room temperature, your graphics card, etc. Do your research basically it's not hard if you just set an hour or two aside and it's not that boring either. In short, if you wanna get bang for your buck, and good gaming performance, get the 2700x.
I'm sure in most games it can reach the framerate you will want it to especially if you overclock it with a decent cooler. Don't get the 9900k it's honestly a waste in my opinion, yes it is the most powerful out of all of these, but not by much, and it is way too expensive to be worth. The 9700k will be able to hit higher framerates than any other I mentioned probably, and it is very powerful in multithreading because of the 8 cores, better than the 8700k if im not mistaken, but it's still expensive. The 8700k is cheaper yeah, and still has 6 cores 12 threads, and is still very fast clock speed wise, but you will need more expensive cooling if you wanna be save, so it may end up balancing out to be not worth it depending on the decisions you make. All of these are good for gaming. All are good for streaming. More cores is better than more threads. Higher clock speed obviously means a potential higher framerate, but for most people a 2700x can reach plenty.
