I tried to watch anime but it was so slow in my opinion, like in ep 10 I dropped, plus it wasn't my type. Then I saw movie in Netflix and I had nothing to do so why not. Then unlike anime, it actually grew on me and I kept watching it. But as I heard from everyone there is second L, second book, second Ryuk things in anime unlike in the movie.
