||idk bro i just prefer the poignant themes of fma 2003 and the better direction and slower pacing, and more focus on the brothers!
brotherhood is one of my favorite pieces of media of all time but it has an infinity + 1 cast of characters, and i don’t like the characterization of the brothers as much, and the themes speak to me less

not to mention the superior cinematography of the 2003 show, that is not debatable imo
and on the rare occasion there’s a fight, it’s usually better choreographed than most brotherhood fights

yea we don’t get Ling in 2003. that’s a huge fucking shame. but we also get homunculi being created by alchemists instead of The Big Bad just shitting them out which is WAY COOLER in my opinion

i mean yea brotherhood is my third favorite show ever and 2003 is my second||

It's such a great design choice that she doesn't actually wear the uniform. She drapes it over her shoulders and has her normal uniform still on underneath symbolizing how her outward persona is so threatening and powerful but the real Mako is still buried inside there, she's not fully turned by Satsuki.

#

There's a really fun mismatch between how threatening the costume makes her look and how she usually is. The jacket is so much bigger than her size and speaks to how Mako's confidence makes her feel like she's bigger than she really is.

like having something bad happen in his past was a good start but having him consider killing his sister's and best friend's son because of some dark thoughts just seems really out of character from the guy who saw light in a mass murderer

||thinking about it now that doesn't need too much tweaking to make it line up with normal Luke, could've had something like him seeing the darkness in kylo but being strongly decided on not killing him and turning him back, and that somehow leads to kylo being able to do a bunch of bad shit and luke feels guilty about not being able to stop him||

||that's not that different from what actually happens but it's weird to see him pull out a lightsaber on someone for having dark thoughts while he's not even awake||
