my main peeve with the anime is that it tries to hard to let the viewer know that its adapting a manga
not a big fan of how it forces characters to snap into manga poses, showing a lack of understanding of why jojo is so visually attractive within its original medium and slap visual onomatopoeia on top of scenes in order to forgo having any actually interesting direction for a scene
part 5 had great action animation but even it fell into these problems
DiU had great visual direction and despite deviating quite a bit from the manga's artstyle n several waysit still looked pretty good cus for once they were thinking about the series through the audio-visual medium first and not as a manga

Ultraman Omega ep 1 watched. Solid start, with a rather unique setting where this time around there’s no science/military group the Ultraman’s alter ego is a part of or assists. At the start anyway. Too bad it’s because of REAL LIFE sucking so much haha. So far action wise it’s solid, not as creative as Arc’s was but I’m digging it so far, and I love Omega’s design and fighting techniques. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
