From the few clips I've seen from the Captain Tsubasa video game, it has come to my understanding that the aim there is to kill to kill the goalie with their super shots, but in Inazuma Eleven the goalies actually have a fighting chance now

So, there's a bit of confusion here. You've got Captain Tsubasa and Inazuma Eleven, both anime and video game series all about football, but they play things differently.

In Captain Tsubasa, it's all about those high-energy matches where players bust out these crazy special moves to score goals, not take out the goalie. In Inazuma Eleven, it's more about teamwork and strategy, with goalies who can actually stop opponents' shots. But hey, both of them bring the hype and skill of football without going all violent.

Got it! In Captain Tsubasa, those super shots are basically unstoppable, leaving the goalies feeling pretty helpless. But in Inazuma Eleven, it's a whole different ball game. Most of the goalies have their own super moves to block those shots. So yeah, it's like in Tsubasa, the goalies are on the receiving end, but in Inazuma, they're in the game, making those epic saves.

Super Robot Taisen OG - Divine Wars - Record of ATX beat. Damn cool adaptation of the game. At first I thought it was just the first half but nah it adapted the entire thing, with most focus on Kyousuke at the beginning. My estimate earlier was way off because the chapters get longer and longer as the series goes on lol. Quite a few changes were made to the story, like a character that’s supposed to die survived and changing the order of events a bit as well as locations, but it’s still a great action story. Has a few problems with making the drawings too cluttered and making the design not distinct enough especially at the start and when the cast starts growing, but man it sure captured the awesomeness of the series.

There’s a sequel titled The Inspector and has Lamia on the cover so I assume it’s for the second game. Unfortunately it’s not completely finished and seems to have been abandoned since 2014… damn ten years ago. Still gonna read it though lol.

||so the entire big appeal of the boys was the idea of it "making fun of modern superhero content being woke and trying to appeal for money." they do that heavily in the first episode with the black girl who is very smart talking about how the only reason Vought wants her in the 7 is because she's black. this on its own is fine, but in the same episode they show off Frenchie being gay, in a way to me that did feel like it being "woke." i get that in the comics that he apparently came out as gay, however the way the first episode is paced it felt like the original premise of the show was counter intuitive to Frenchie's character arc in this season. It could be me just over thinking it, cause the first episode was still very good, i just couldn't help but think about that.||

I don’t think this scene is commenting on inclusivity politics in general (much less in comics specifically), I think it is specifically lambasting how companies that have zero interest in doing the right thing will co-opt progressive ideals to paint a picture of inclusivity while doing nothing to actually be inclusive — the reason people on the left tend to be put off by companies donning rainbow logos isn’t because being gay is bad but because we know that these companies are only doing that because it’s a safe bet in todays political climate. There’s no conviction, no allyship, and no sincerity whatsoever — the minute the majority opinion changes, so will the corporation’s stance. Meanwhile, gay people still exist. After all the posturing, gay people will continue to live far past when these companies stop pretending to give a shit

Vought is in a tough place story-wise because they both represent entertainment conglomerates like Disney and they represent the U.S. Government in a way. They’re in charge of actual superheroes, and these superheroes do monstrous things. It’s not dissimilar to how the U.S. government handles police and its military — and so while the U.S. Government may say “happy pride,” they may also go on to introduce legislature that makes it harder for gay people to be safe. They might celebrate diversity while also silently supporting genocide. They might show vocal support for people with disabilities while turning a blind eye to abusive practices in medicine.

The joke here isn’t that “comic books are going woke,” the joke is that a company that employs and defends superhumans that regularly murder and/or rape people is outwardly projecting an image of “progress,” while inwardly changing nothing
