I still see them different tbh. Young Dio is just a teen who wanted the money and ended up being a vampire using his power and thinking he is above the human race. Dio was always intelligent and knew how to charm people but he was young and just had his power some days. SDC Dio knew his mistakes and had a second chance, he was in a coffin for nearly 100 years and probably become philosophic then ever, he grew and had already different views and points about the world that changed his character kinda. But he still wants to achieve his goal and you still can see that some of his character still stays like going crazy and pure egoism.
