I think you're being way too harsh, early Part 3 had some good fights by any standard. J. Geil/Hanged Man and Justice were great. Steely Dan/Lovers was such a cathartic moment that it's still one of the top Jojo memes period. Even lesser known fights like Tower of Gray had some good or memorable moments.

One thing I like to think was the reason why SP was in some aspects superior to The World. In my opinion, it all goes down to Jotaro and DIO's energy force. Jotaro, being a mortal human, having a life that's more fragile and vunerable to DIO's, can be a good way of explaining his fighting spirit and attachment to his life. DIO, being a Imortal Vampire does not have that carefulness about his, therefore, he isn't as worried as Jotaro, to a certain extent I think (I mean he did somewhat brag about his immortality).

like always, jotaro does not look 17.
they have weird spellings a lot of the time, like "Speed Wagon" "Holley" "J-Gail" and "N-Yah".
n the begining, there are sfx for clothing items like Jotaro's chain and Avdol's earrings.
The animation can be very great at some points, but the voice acting is... sub-par throughout. the stand cries are fucking WEAK. i feel like if someone had a shit ton of time on their hands they could edit the sound for the full thing and just put dp's audi over it.
Unlike in the DP adaptation, Jotaro, for some reason, has a vision of time Jonathan was fighting Dio while taking out Kak's flesh bud.
There is some nudity 👀
Enya sometimes uses a disguise and makes herself look like a hot young women 👀 👀
there aren't that many scenes of holly and joseph doing father daughter things like in the dp adaptation.
apparently when you bought the original tapes or dvds, they came with a set of cards for the 22 major arcana and the 9 egyptian gods. the designs for these cards seem very very consistent throughout all forms of jojo. although i can only imagine some peoples confusion when they see cards for stands that don't appear.
Stands that don't appear include:
Tower of Grey (It is implied that it took down the initial plane they took, but it is never shown.)
Dark Blue Moon
Ebony Devil
Yellow Temperance
The Empress (A women who fawns over Hol Horse appears, but she is never shown to have a Stand)
Wheel of Fortune
and anyone after Justice
Jotaro is fucking tall as hell, his harem are half his height.
Kakyoin's fight has some differences; he doesn't do the whole painting thing, he appears at the bottom of the stairs rather then the top, a member of Jotaro's harem gives him some bandages rather then Kak, Kak doesn't interact with Jotaro outside of fighting, the entire fight takes place in the woods near the school rather than indoors, a member of Jotaro's harem is taken hostage rather than a nurse,

Dio's theme is actually sort of similar to the DP one, which is interesting.
Joseph is never shown to use hamon, and Avdol is the one who destroys Kak's flesh bud via fire.
Avdol mentions other people dying to their own Stand, like wait what.
Avdol isn't the one to figure out where the fly leads to, instead Joseph sends a fax to the Speedwagon foundation who figures it out.
They take a private jet provided by the Speedwagon foundation instead of a comercial jet.
Tower of Grey (presumably) manages to take out the left engine from the ground instead of being on the plane itself.
Dio and Enya just somehow... know what is happening, even though Dio is never shown to use Jonathan's stand.
The word "Strength" is plastered on the side of the boat, there's no dictionary thing.
Anne doesn't fucking exist.
Polnareff is introduced on Strength's boat, and boy does he make an entrance.
Kak somehow already knows him while Pol is being introduced.
Pol and Kak's earrings are so jacked.
Stand's iris/pupils are only animated some of the time.
Something about "looking with your stand's eye" which implies that Stand users can only see stands when they're trying.
crossfire hurricane is referred to sometimes as CFH
Polnareff actually didn't get fleshbudded, he was following Dio cause Dio promised to help find his sister's killer.
there's a plot hole with the hanged man where he's shown to appear across multiple broken mirror shards.
Jotaro does JACK SHIT except for fight Kak and Enya
the teeth are animated very weirdly.
if y'all thought monologuing during fights was bad before, holy shit the time in which a bullet is being fired is stretched out over practically a minute.
they don't show Avdol being shot, we only see blood spurt out and Avdol is out of frame.
it may just be because i had to watch the censored version, but the ova can get p gory at some parts.

it's never explained how pol knew his sister's killer had 2 right hands.

avdol reappears during the justice fight, as there never is a judgement fight.
jotaro only smokes once, and it's to do the blood vessel thing
lucky land communications is used in both the dp anime and here.

No challenge in having to breathe
They don't have ripple energy
They don't damage vampiric creatures
You can't get one by training your hamon (well that's debatable because Hermit Purple stands are hamon)
