Anyways, I've had these ideas for The World floating around in my mind for a while, so I might as well just spill them here.

I thought that The World could not only be an independent Stand, but also occasionally act as a WEARABLE Stand for DIO, becoming just armor and adding an extra layer of protection to DIO.

#

This armor, however, does have a severe weakness: if it is heavily damaged, it WILL disappear, sure, but since it's NOT vampiric like DIO, any damage caused will be dealt to DIO himself, albeit marginally less fatal than the blows dealt to The World Armor, and to add insult to injury, the wounds will NOT heal over time, and DIO will have to find someone to suck blood from in order to heal, although the process will take longer.
