i thought pretty much all the way through sbr he was kinda unlikeable (tbf i did kinda speedrun sbr to get to jjl) but the fact he was willing to kill himself to save his son was super fucking respectable and likeable for me
same way my respect for jotaro shot up when he chose to save jolyne instead of killing pucci, or when joseph slit his wrist to save the invisible baby in part 4
i guess its pretty shitty from a "i want them to survive and be happy" standpoint but from an outside storytelling standpoint i thought it was really good
