#What license to choose for Laravel Nova?

Hello! A 3rd party made a site for us with Laravel Nova so we must purchase a license. However we are not really sure if we can do everything we need with Single license or do we need a Unlimited license.

The site will be used on a single domain (lets call it example.com) as well as in multiple staging (limited, internal access) and dev (local) environments.

Does Single license allows us to do this (e.g. there might be more than 5 staging + dev environments at the same time) or the only option is Unlimited license?

The single license would allow you to do that according to the FAQ;

What is a considered a "project"?
A project is a single installed instance of Nova. You may use Nova on local, sandbox/staging servers as well as one production environment. You may use Nova on multiple subdomains as long as they're served from the same instance of Nova. You may not use a single Nova license for multi-tenant websites where there's multiple copies of Nova running. Each of those are considered separate projects and require their own license.

If you really want a proper answer it's probably best to contact the Nova team directly, they can tell you the exact ins and outs

1 server, multiple versions. e.g. bugfix1.domain, bugfix2.domain

my interpretation of that is that it's fine as long as there's only one prod instance

That is what I understood at first too, but got confused once I navigated to page where I must select what license to get. Anyway, if it won't work I suppose we fill find out of that quickly and then just refund and buy Unlimited.

Thanks for assistance!

Think they also allow you to upgrade the license. But yeah, then you'd probably want to contact them
