#Spent more time with virtual cursor

We are getting married and moving to Aruba.

Actually the only difference I see between using the steam controller setup vs your new virtual setup is....

The ability to select the folder icon in the build menu. You cannot seem to hover over that when you are using the steam controller.
A win for your virtual cursor as I can hover over that icon with it

The texture and color select. With the steam controller setup you have to click on the textures or colors and then select what you want. A win for your cursor as you can move right to the color or texture far more easily.

The one down side I feel is the loss of the dpad controls in the menu. If you brought that back I feel it would be the perfect substitute for us players that are mouse and keyboard inept.

Attached are poorly taken videos of the control functions using the steam setup in the original game.

One more thing to note but I'm not sure you all can do this. The controller to keyboard mapping is weird. Some inputs are crossed and when allowing MandK players to use our builds they cannot. It would be nice if you could figure out how to remap the control so the keybinds would match up more smoothly with what a MandK user would use.

Hey Thank you for the feedback 😊

Were you able to try out the "publictest" branch?

We have been talking about how blueprints keybinds move from MaK to controller, is def on our list of QoL for the future to make it easier for players to set up those!

My findings. Controller to keyboard binds.

Left stick up-arrow key up
Left stick dn-arrow key dn
Left stick L- A key
Left stick R- D key
Dpad Up-arrow key up
Dpad dn-arrow key dn
Dpad L-arrow key L
Dpad R- arrow key R
A button- space bar
L trigger- S key
R trigger- W key
LB - Right mouse button
RB- Ctrl key

I personally think wasd should be all tied to the left thumb stick.

You are also missing two buttons on the controller as well. Both thumb sticks could be used as buttons as well.

In the public test holding the right stick down allows selection of all similar items and I like that.

The left stick needs a keybind as well.

Maybe this could work as a button map.

L stick-wasd keys
Dpad- arrow keys
LT- space or ctrl
RT-the opposite of LT
RB-Right mouse button
LB-left mouse button
A-L shift
L thumb stick button. I dunno maybe number 1 key????
