On shatered pd, on my 6chal run i can't get past the dwarf city every time its just so much dmg incoming that all my anhks and health pots go. No matter the armor if its +3 plate or scale still nothing (i never use faith is my armor). Is it due to overconfidence on caves or?

If you're on +3 plate and still take a lot of damage, you're really doing something wrong.
Ask yourself further where the damage actually comes from, ask yourself everytime you take damage if that was necessary
