Well it was about the only item I received from my (late) grandfather. I didn’t get to see him much in life as he was on the other side of the country. It means a lot to me as it is one of the few things I have to remember him by.
He was a history buff as well and always was thrilled with my interest in it as well, supporting my WW2 reenacting hobby by buying me reference books constantly.
It is something I will treasure for a long time.
