Recently, users have been receiving DM's from random users, claiming that they have a free nitro reward to give out, sending what appears as a legitimate URL. However these links are fake, for example, if it DOES NOT SAY http://discord.gift/(random characters) THEN IT IS FAKE, do not click on any of these links, and do not sign in, because if you do, it WILL steal/affect your account.
Nitro gifts do not require sign ins, there simply will be an accept button built into the image that comes up

Unfortunately, we don't have The Shelter 🏛️ for you to host future rap battles, so the winner will instead be awarded a $20USD 🤑 Steam voucher (courtesy of @hexed warren ). Second and equal/third will be receiving smaller 🤏 gifts (nitro) courtesy of @lapis violet!!

Xen, Emily, and Awooku have decided to step down from HR department while the remaining staff team has decided to step up and run this server as HR (admin) and will be choosing the next Housekeeping from this round of trainees soon!

Hello.. as I'm sure you can tell, our new admins made some very bad decisions since xen, awooku and I had stepped down. Because of the horrible way the server was kept up, we have decided to retake responsibility and to switch things back to the way they were before. Housekeepers are back to their original roles and so are the HRs. Lets pray to god it stays that way cos oh boy.
As far as trainees go, I would probably compare this selection process to the way 3rd graders pick their dodgeball teams, no thinking at all. Whoever thought that this was a good idea must have an iron deficiency cough naji. We did not see any of you performing the way that was expected. Not even close. Due to this, we have decided that NO ONE will be promoted to Housekeeping and Trainee roles will be removed.
I'm sorry for all the chaos that has happened in the server these past few days, honestly, these guys shouldn't even be allowed to run an emote server, let alone this one. Our mistake, roles will be back to normal soon enough.

Hello friends, there's a new malware going around that steals your discord information. A few people in this server have fallen victim to it so we want to be sure everyone's aware.
The malware will show up as a link to a fake game when in reality it will modify your discord files then log you out in order to grab your password and other security info. Please always be careful when you're clicking on links. If you do end up clicking on a link sent by someone and are suddenly logged out do not log back into discord on that device until you have removed the trojan which is thankfully quite simple.

Hey @everyone , this is a pretty serious PSA so please read on.
I'm sure many of you know there have been many types scams running rampant on communities within Discord lately, and it shows no signs of stopping at the moment as some of the domains the scams belong to have been activated recently and are still being purchased/activated to this very moment by a malicious user or group. Many of these scams work via a viral approach, so someone's account will get stolen by a scam, so then that account goes out and steals more accounts using the same or similar method so they can get the most user reach.
Please, and I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT click on links that random users send you, and even if it is a friend, be wary before you click anything because it could be a stolen account.
If someone asks you to test out their game, do not download it.
If someone says they are giving away free CS:GO skins, they most likely are not and if you look closely at the site, it will be misspelt.
To a certain degree I'm surprised I have to say this, but if someone begins their message with [PGP Verified] probably just block them right there because they are trying to mislead you.

Don't bother responding to these people because they are most likely userbots and not real people behind the keyboard, just block and make sure to report them to Discord using https://dis.gd/howtoreport and https://dis.gd/report, also check out https://dis.gd/dma104 on the different ways to report users depending on the scenario.
The only ways to counteract these that I know of, (this is unconfirmed) is that if you hide your steam account from your Discord profile, you will no longer be targeted by steam scams because they don't know what account to target.
The only other mitigation for all is to turn off DM's for each server, but keep in mind this will prevent you from contacting anyone from those servers and will prevent them from contacting you unless you are friended with them.

Twitch seems to have had a data breach. The scope of the breach is currently unknown however we strongly recommend that you change your Twitch passwords. We have been able to verify the legitimacy of this breach first hand and can also verify that it does include some data from CurseForge when the platform was still owned by Twitch.
