so i've been playing downpour for quite a bit a couple of months ago and it was working perfectly fine.
yesterday, i've decided to come back to it but the game just didn't want to launch at all. it was just stuck at the black screen before any logos even show up.
after reinstalling the game, it seems like the issue was gone and the game launched fine, until i realized i'm not able to activate any mods and the game just throws this message at me. the base game works perfectly fine

if you're on steam, try deleting the ../Rain World/RainWorld_Data/StreamingAssets/ folder and then verifying file integrity https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/0C48-FCBD-DA71-93EB

nope, didn't fix the issue unfortunately. I've tried changing proton version, reinstalled the game multiple times and tried various launch options that were suggested at protondb.com, it still doesn't work :c

is it the exact same error every time? it always says Could not find part of the path [...] Rain World\RainWorld_Data\StreamingAssets\mods\rwremix at the top?
