Spearsmaster : Stuck at the wall

Hello,

This is my first playthrough as the Spearsmaster and I've currently done the "standard route" of the Survivor, nothing new here. I went through the chimney canopey, climbed up the wall, then saw ||the echo|| at the top of it.

While I was trying to enter into ||5P's|| karma gate, I have a sign showing 9 dots instead of an usual karma level. If I remember correctly this is only available for ||artificer||, but I'm playing the spearsmaster.
Am I not supposed to go there? The overseer keeps telling me to do so, should I go back?

I also ended up going the other way around by putting a spear down and seeing him anyways. I got killed though and I'm not sure that was the wisest decision.
