game is frozen on downloading workshop

whenever i load into rain world, a page pops up that says downloading workshop. does the same on the steam deck. it is either at 25% (will not load) or 50%, and i have to alt f4 my game to get out of it.

(as a personal note, when I have same issue, I tried to subscribe/unsubcribe to any mod to "force" to load the mods and then go into the game, but was before watcher update)
