Im in ||shaded citadel|| at like the lowest part where the tentacles are, there is a checkpoint/den near the entrance to ||memory crypts||, but i dont have enough food to rest in a shelter. For some reason I cant force myself to sleep either, but when I try to find food in memory crypts theres no food or any dens for what seems like a fucking mile, what should I do?? Idk if i should go back and find more food in shaded citadel and then continue

theres no harm in trying to go back and finding more food as you said
generally speaking, there will always be a shelter a reasonable distance away from you at all times. but finding the path there will probably lead to a few deaths to figure out exactly how to get there (with sufficient food of course 
). Keep trying something new! see what works best for you
