Need urgent advice

Hello everyone, I first started playing Hunter some days ago and since then I haven't got past the western rooms of Sky Islands. All of this because of the scavengers: I've tried everything, from ignoring them to laying down my weapons to gifting pearls or helping them. Nothing. They just kill me instantly whenever I'm in their line of sight. Furthermore, they spawn-kill me at the start of every cycle eventually resetting my karma and trashing the run. Please, if anyone can help me understand what I'm doing wrong or what needs to be fixed I would be so grateful. Thank you in advance.

generally the only advice i could give right now is to try to take your time. if they spawn kill you staying in your shelter and waiting for them to pass might be the only thing you can reasonably do

alternatively, you could try to be so fast that they dont get to even see you

also if one path is frustrating there is always another

And possibly even another after that

there are many ways to go about a challenge
