To my understanding the Just Documenting tag is for making threads that's basically a self-journal/catalog but open to public viewing? Apologies if mistaken, I just thought I'd log stuff here instead of in my own notes just for fun in that case.

About 10hrs on Steam though the save file says a bit less than 6hrs. Back in Shaded Citadel since the kind people on the Discord assure me it'll be fine (#1410277968063758346 message) and I was right this place is spooky as hell. Like Deepnest from Hollow Knight (I expect that's a real original thought) except they somehow made it worse so good job guys.

I knew about Scavengers a bit from the video that got me into Rain World about it's AI (Htwo I believe) since I didn't think I'd ever play it. I think I've managed to successfully trade even though they just stare at me. But they aren't spearing me on sight or throwing goddamn bombs at me so I guess that's aight. Stole a lantern off of a dead one which I hope lasts longer than the glowy octopus rats (GORs) so I'm real protective of my save and considering backing up the save for future scumming 🤭 .

Maybe I should grab the pearl from the other shelter I had stashed since I think the Scavs (I think these are scavengers anyway) would like it but it seems too valuable to lose too so eh.

Anyway I'm out of excuses not to explore the creepy dark bits and whatever robot kawaii face thing the yellow shroombot keeps pointing me to. Is it a new area? I think new areas is the slugcat icon though plus I just got here. Knowing Rain World this underground deepnest area is going to be goddamn huge and the game's going to spit me out into Rain World's version of Ancient Basin but with as many threats as Waterways. Wooooo...

27/08/25 Addendums:

Spiders don't seem to be food. Neither are GORs even after I brutalise them with a spear. Mushrooms might be useful I guess since slow-mo seems like a good tool in high stress situations. Poor hunger bar though 😭. On the plus side most predators apart from the suddenly hostile spider mobs hate this place so that's nice

Note to Mods: (I'm just going to spam this as if its my own personal log [accounting for server rules ofc] but apologies if there's an extra layer to this, I'm just avoiding looking at other such posts for spoilers and all that. If there's an issue I can pack this up to my personal notes no problem 👍

Also, when it says avoid spoilers in description of post, does that mean the initial message? Apologies if so and that's why my posts had to get reposted, my bad

Turns out SC isn't that bad when you get the lantern or I just got really lucky. On Shoreline now, was appreciating the view, seems chill, BIRDS. I think Citadel spoiled me with the lack of predators so I'm having too much fun skipping everywhere happily

Cycle 32- Also received a vision of baby survivor playing with clippy. how cute. Wasted my electroberry and my pearl is still all the way by IC but oh well.

Cycle 35- In a subsection of Shoreline called "Looks to the Moon" which I think I remember being important for some lore thing or other? I think it's connected to that big computer area in Outskirts though I don't think we're geographically close- LttM seems way too far East. It's just a big old computer thing so I'm looking forward to reactivating the nukes or whatever

Last update for the day- Found robolady who I think Clippy was leading me to all this time. Ate all her bugs in the hope it would mean something but I guess not? Then she keeled over so I quit the game to retry i guess

Oh damn well there goes my backup plan of stabbing her. Clippy seemed to be foreshadowing my death so that's fun. Thanks!

Sorry that was me for the day, just finished Cycle 35.

Turns out I can't spear her so just ate her bugs again. There's a tunnel going down in the screen next to her but I drowned so I assume I need to turn the water off somehow, though from where it seems to be coming down I can't find anything to block it. Currently just chasing the orange ghost things, no clue if that's going anywhere.

Also apparently I stole enlightenment so that's cool I guess
