The first few areas (outskirts, sewers, garbage dump, coast line) were good and I enjoyed the game, but The Exterior was 11/10 for me.
When I first cleared the memory vaults (the area with scissor chicken) I thought that it was a fun little challenge and that I would get my reward and it would let me back to Shaded Citadel to continue exploring that area. On the contrary, I just found myself in an area that people described online as the "hardest area in the game" and "bulls***". However I found the climb to be very enjoyable.
The leg has a lot of enemies but the combination of grapple worms and rooms that have multiple ways to dodge said enemies made it pretty doable.
The overhang has some of the best ambience. All you hear is wind, crackling of electricity, thunder. The green particles and the glow of orange lizards also adds a lot.
The wall was probably the hardest, especially because the distance between save spots is so large and there are like 6 orange, 2 invis and 1 blue lizard.
But oh man, reaching above the clouds, seeing the other megastructures in the distance, the city at the top and then the yellow guy, just so well made! 5 pebbles is also a very interesting area, especially the visual.
It was really this whole experience (memory vaults -> yellow guy) that made me absolutely fall in love with the game. How did you guys like these areas? Did you also find them as enjoyable or was it more of a struggle?
I would also like to ask, Looks to the moon has the blue guy in it that is obviously scared for its little neuron buddies floating around. I read something on the internet (ofc i ate the neuron to see what happens and i didnt want to save the game having done something bad) about a "neuron run". 5 pebbles seems to contain an abundance of neurons, so my question is, should I bring the neurons from 5 pebbles to the blue guys? If so, how many? Is it hard to do? Is it worth to do? Thanks!
