I forgot the name of this region, but ||you access it by going deep down in Coral Caves||. I was able to get here and sleep at the first shelter just fine. I went to get rid of my ||parasite|| then sleep again and it didn't work. I assumed I maybe couldn't sleep at the same shelter twice for some reason, but going left and trying a new one didn't work either.

Sometimes you just have to go further into the shelter for it to close, it happebs sometimes with custom shelters
Otherwise you can verify files to make sure everythings there

Going further in didn't help. I waited until the rain came and it suddenly went to the sleep screen without playing the closing or rain animation. When I woke up, it was like a starve cycle where the little bar on the food meter was all the way to the right. I tried exiting and rejoining to do a karma-caching type thing, but it put me back at the old shelter with my parasite.
I'll try verifying the integrity of the game files.
