Skipped most of the game?

I'm only a few hours into my first playthrough and I went Outskirts -> Drainage System -> Filtration System -> Subterranean. I googled the list of areas to see if I was in the right track and found that I'm actually in the last area.

I'm wondering if I should backtrack and go through some of the other areas? I'm not stuck and there are still new places in Filtration System and Subterranean to explore, but maybe I'm missing something because I went this way? I'm not sure what to do.

So actually the game is entirely non-linear and you can go wherever you want :3

The only required areas are the starting and endings ones and even then you cna do whatever you want

If you do reach credits having missed some areas (which is pretty much guaranteed, actually, no matter what route you take - the map is not designed to make 100% exploration easy) you can always go back and keep exploring afterwards
