Game frozen with this horrifying screen

I'm playing as Similar and my game sorta kinda froze. There's a slugpup next room over so I assume that was the problem (HI_S04 specifically). I am basically softlocked here if I don't turn off Slugpups for Everyone. I can't pause but I can open up dev console and workshop from here. I'm curious what could possibly cause this other than "Similar dumb".

Update: The same thing seems to go on with some other modded slugcats (only those without any canon slugpups/slugpup support). I'll just stop playing with pups for everyone for non-canon scugs for now...
