When I launched the game today, it started updating mods, which went with no issues. Just after finishing, my PC crashed during the intro before the main menu. The crash was very likely due to my old RAM and not because of any game issues, but it seems to have corrupted the game beyond repair. Now when I launch it, it will only display a black screen. I updated my drivers and other Steam games run fine, so the current issue seems to be with Rain World, not my PC. I tried to repair corrupt data over the Steam function several times and each time it replaces one 1,3KB thing, but the game seems to corrupt itself every time on launch again and again. The log shows that there is a Format Exception with a string and I have no idea how the hell that happened and how to fix it... Help please?

Here the exception log:

FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format.

Trying to push this again, still black screen. Disabling all mods did nothing. The log says that the error happens when the game is trying to read the world version number, but i dont know how to fix this, the repaired file breaks again at launch

did you try to actually delete the game completely and reinstall it again?

I did not delete it manually, if that is what you mean. That would be my only hope right now, as the game is still damaged after reinstall
