yeah, I've been having the same problem on my Linux mint computer

it starts up, shows the logos, and once I hit a key to enter the menu it hangs

right now I think it's a hardware issue because it completely locks my computer

if it runs well it's probably something worth dealing with, but if you want you can try to run rain world in a virtual machine

it also might be a Linux mint specific issue, as https://www.protondb.com/app/312520 states that rain world should work perfectly out of the box

I recommend looking at that, and the GitHub issue search (listed on the website.) You can also open an issue there and see if others can help you

you could distro hop and see if that fixes your issue as well, maybe to ubuntu to see if it's an ubuntu problem or a linux mint problem
