#Steamless Wine running not loading mods

Just a foreword: I have bought Rain World with actual money, and I can confirm this fact if need be. I have obtained the files for Rain World legally, through Steam.

A while back I deleted my Steam account, and thus I no longer can boot up Rain World through Steam. The files for Rain World, however, are still there on my computer, and I have successfully run them using Wine (I use Kubuntu Linux).

I have followed the installation instructions for BOI and BepInEx. I have successfully run BOI, also through Wine, and appear to have loaded the mods into the correct folders, however, when I run the game, using wine RainWorld.exe in a console window within the game directory, the game loads, but nothing appears to have changed. So far I have only tested using the Jolly Cooperation mod, but I have reason to believe it wouldn't work with other mods either, since, when booting the game, Wine prints to console info regarding the assembly process, and in there, there is no mention of BepInEx.

Is there another way to execute the game in order to make it recognize the mods? Is this happening because of me executing the .exe directly with Wine instead of through Steam?

You probably shouldn't use BOI (made in winforms) on a Linux machine... Unless it's already working

In terms of bepinex, you need to do some winecfg to get it to use bepinex's winhttp.dll and set wine to windows 7 mode

#

See the winecfg steps from that post
