Hi gang! Sorry to disturb.

I recently finished DL1 with my sister and girlfriend (did so because I've finished the game before with my best friends and absolutely loved it, this was around 4 years ago, roughly).

Now, we all bought DL2 as it was on sale, and after finishing The Following, we decided to install DL2 today, and play it together. Problem is, although I've got the best PC out of the bunch, for some reason I'm also the only one experiencing problems. My game seems to run fine, but freezes every few seconds. I've tried everything from lowering settings, to updating drivers, checking integrity of game files, restarting PC, checking corruption of Windows files, reinstalling, using Directx11 and Directx12, etc. Nothing seems to work, and unfortunately all the advice from the internet doesn't seem to change that.

If you can, please help. And if you wish to contact me privately in order to not bother the server, then that's completely fine too. I just want to enjoy the game with them two. 🙁 Thanks!

Please let me know if you need PC specs, windows version or game settings, etc!

If you have frame gen on turn it off

Tried with it on and off, doesn't seem to shake it off either way

I was having the same issue, disabling frame generation and setting the upscaling to native fixed it

I will try the upscaling setting now, haven't tried that yet.

I already had frame generation off, and turned upscaling to native. That seems to have helped quite a lot! Before, it used to freeze every few seconds, now every 1-2 minutes. Perhaps something is still wrong, though I'm not sure what. Settings are mainly on medium-high, which shouldn't be a problem. PC can run many other heavy games, but for some reason it draws the line at DL2 🙁

Hmm, in that case your best bet might be to send a support ticket to them. But this game is so buggy, just yesterday while I was trying to fix it with my friend, every time I paused the game with Frame Generation enabled, the screen would get completely glitched out, with broken textures everywhere, it honestly looked like my GPU was dying lol
