Key binds - E not binding, changing background page instead.

When trying to bind E instead of binding it changes page in the background.

I just wanna change E and F since im so used to pressing E for interacting with stuff in other games.

Also since i cant bind aim to the key i want when i try to leave it makes it so i cant leave... i feel like you should be able to have unbound keys...

ps: who made it so you cant aim and block on the same key

So I had the same issue and I think my solution was to change kick to F and I think it swaps the key keybinds around. It took a few tries until it stuck

It just unbinds the conflict instead of swapping them unfortunately, i tried that before making the past.

If only there was a binds.ini so the end user can easily double bind or bind when these bugs show up, rather than having to have technical knowhow to rummage through the data.pak files...

To bind keys E and F in Dying Light 2, navigate to Options > Controls > Key Bindings to change standard actions like interacting, kicking, or using items. For deeper customization or to change hardcoded keys, edit the inputs_keyboard.scr file found in the data0.pak archive using 7-Zip.

I tried that, but as said before when changing anything to E, rather than it changing the bind it would try moving the page in the background and give me the "you have unsaved changes" pop up....

But ive changed it with the data0 file anyways.

Just wanted to post about it so the devs can see and maybe fix it.

Its just a pain, and something that shouldnt be an issue to begin with, same for not being able to double bind aim/block on kbm while its default on controller....
