Progress Gone :(

After i deleted the game and redownloaded it, all my progress was gone (weapons,items and story) is there a way to fix this or do I just gotta redo the entire game?

U uninstalled the whole game, dying light the beast doesn’t have seperate save file locations so when you delete the game it deleted the saves

If you're on Windows and you've purchased the game on Steam or Epic Games, then both gaming platforms support cloud saves which means that you can uninstall the game and reinstall it whenever you like without your progress being lost, as long as you have given it enough time to upload to the cloud safely. This has been the case with Dying Light 1 and Dying light 2: Stay Human.

If you're playing the game on console, such as a ps5 (base or pro model) you either have the option to back up any save data to ps plus or console storage. If you have had purchased a subscription to ps plus recently and it expired, it might be worth checking to see if it may have automatically been stored in the cloud.

If you're on Xbox, the process should be very similar.

How do i find the cloud save section?

You should just need to click on your profile and go to settings. There should be a section for cloud saves and check whether you have them enabled.

There may have been some sort of conflict with a cloud save and local save

Now that I remember it, I did actually have a very similar issue when I uninstalled pc building simulator 2

The problem is that it does not support cloud saves on epic games

So when you uninstalled the game, you would have ultimately uninstalled your save file as well

Yeah no worries, a little bit of advice would be to manually back up your saves before you uninstall a game

Just remember that for next time 🙂
