Does anyone know what this persistent floating error box after the update is? The game launches and runs just fine, and co-op seems to work just fine as well.
I cannot post a screenclip to show the error.
The error spawns a dialogue box that says "You aren't playing a DL game! Patch won't work." It won't go away with clicking the OK button.

if you are on steam check the steam settings/check game integrity files or similar/and see if will give you any errors
do you have mods?or you are playing without mods?

Yes, on Steam, not using mods, and Steam file validation complete successfully with no errors.

I am also in the same situation, game works fine but everytime launching it the error box appears and does not go away
Removing the file "fs.ini" from the ph folder stops the error but also does not launch the game, only show the "dying light 2 stay human" window and disappears

I submitted a ticket to techland support about it

I found the problem, it is caused by some mods. I removed the mods, the error goes away, put them back and it returns. However it does not seem to have any actual effect on game-play, , settings, progression, or multiplayer.
