Nightmare mode chase icon on other difficulties

Why do I have the nightmare mode chase icon with the spikey diamond on other difficulties instead of the normal diamond?

I had this when I joined a friend who played on story difficulty. But when solo you have to kill the alpha volatile them switch to whatever difficulty you want. I just did that and I have the normal diamond

nvm fixed by killing an alpha volatile in nightmare mode

Started ng+ 3 and it still happened. Oh well atleast it's a harmless bug

This is legit JUST an intended feature to let you know an alpha volatile is part of the chase on you
