I have over 60 hours on Dying light 2 and every hour i need to restart the game because i go from 120-90 fps to 30 in an hour.
I am okay with going down to 90 when it gets intense but at 30 its unplayable it lags so much and then when i restart it goes back to normal for like an hour maybe more.
Anyone knows what’s happening i am playing on medium to low graphics setting with dlss performance and i tried basically everything.

im playing on laptop with ryzen 7 6800h/3060/32gb ddr5 and have no problems like yours...check with msi afterburner to see whats going on with ram usage when your fps are dropping maybe you are entering max ram usage

A lot of people have this problem i saw on reddit some do some don’t and it seems no one knows what causes it. Even when i had 32gb of ram it was doing the same thing

There a good chance your running out of RAM, I recommend using MSI afterburner to check if you are

i have monitired my ram/vram and vram stays at 3.6/7.9 gb and my ram goes to 14/17.9gb but i also saw my cpu usage going from 100% to down at 60% and seeing my fps going down any solutions?

Well it seems your close enough to running out that I would reccomend closing some tabs or something, but no idea how you would fix this
Actually, it sounds like you GPU/CPU are overheating
Pretty sure that's most likley the issue, try monitoring temps

ive played way more demanding games and temps were a lot higher in those games then dying light 2
