I feel like the basic idea of having some new survival mechanics for future Dying Light games good, but only when executed correctly.
For example, the hunger system that arrived in the new nightmare difficulty update is something I found great on paper, but pretty underwhelming in terms of making you feel like you’re trying to survive a zombie apocalypse.
I feel like you find food in Dying Light: The Beast way too easily and the fact that you don’t get sick from eating snacks from decades before the fall really weird.
I was thinking that you could draw inspiration from The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners VR and how they handle hunger in that game.
In The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, you can actually find quite a bit of food scattered around the various streets and houses, but only very few of them are actually edible or at least don’t make you sick. If you don’t have any edible food, you can take the many expired food you find scattered around to your safe haven, where you could scrap it and make something more tasty.
I was thinking that you could do something similar in Dying Light: The Beast, where you take bits of food you find out in the open and cook it into something delicious in a safe zone.
(I’m typing in here since I accidentally sent my survey too early lol)
