Finally got to play the update. This doesn't feel good at all.

I took an old save when I was legend level 273 and started a fresh NG+4. I fail to understand the purpose of the legend levels if we are going to be just as powerful at legend level 300 as we were at basic level 15.

Damage bonuses don't add anything to the game now. With the sunset machete and mods, it took me three hits to kill a plain old zombie at regular level 15. Legend level 273, takes me three hits to kill a plain old zombie.

What's the point of legend levels if they don't add anything to the game any more? What's the point of NG+ going from 1-10 and beyond if the difficulty is going to be exactly the same at NG+4 as it would be at NG+10?

Who was this update made for? The zombies? This isn't fun, and this update feels like it completely nullified the whole purpose of legend levels. If the game is going to feel exactly the same regardless of your level or what new game+ you're playing, where is the motivation to keep playing if it's going to feel exactly the same?

I haven't even touched Nightmare yet and I don't want to because as it is right now I'm staying with my original NG+4 and I'm not advancing the story. Enemies in that save are level 100ish and I like feeling powerful. I have zero motivation to advance to the next NG+ if it's just going to feel like all of the progress and levels I gained are going to feel pointless.

This update was very disappointing and it doesn't feel like it was made for a gamer like me.

For anyone else, please feel free to add any advice concern ideas or thoughts on sharing you feel about the gameplay and how it could improve.

Also, please Fire whoever thought the CoD Arcade looking alpha zombies would be a great idea lol

Thanks for making this thread, it was absolutely needed.

Techland, this is the best patch you've released so far. Enemies don't melt after simply grazing them with a weapon, and I'm starting to use Crane's full moveset in combat again. The game feels like it did on release, but with less bugs, a faster combat pace, and actually valuable resources that I gain, use, and gain again.

I only have 2 minor problems with the update. Stamina damage still needs some work, and the Alpha Volatile.

Even though enemies actually survive swings now, I'm not dealing enough stamina damage to make the Finisher prompt pop up no matter how hard I try. Kick is about as strong as your regular weapon swings, but doesn't deal enough stamina damage to force finishers, it's just another way to deal damage at the moment.

The alpha volatile's mechanics kind of discourage night time's stealth focus, it's so aggressive that you don't really get the chance to interact with the night time events, like the overrun Baron checkpoints, before you have to run or start a chase.

I have to agree with everything said above. The Alpha Volatile is a cool idea but there is zero reprieve to allow you to do anything else at night time. Also the XP nerf has hit far more than I think it was originally intended; there's no way that 45 xp per zombie is normal in Nightmare difficulty.

I think the biggest issue for me aside from the xp is the fact that beast mode, on a NG+1 in Nightmare is absolutely useless. Yes I dont have a lot of legend levels but it does zero damage to bosses and it takes around 4 hits to kill a regular zombie. I'm all for a challenge but this really takes 'the beast' out of The Beast.
