anybody else having unexplained stutters witha 5080 and a 9800X3D? After the recent windows 11 update 2025-12 Security Update (KB5072033) (26200.7462) and updated to the latest nvidia driver 591.44 i seem to get stutters occasionally with frame gen off and on whether i disable Ray Tracing or not i still get these stutters. I dont have msi afterburner installed im aware of the weird power issue so thats off the list. Any ideas would be great heres a crash log attached. Do i not have enough vram to handle the highest settings or is there a vram leak or something?

Seems like the latest win 11 update is the problem
I uninstalled the exact update that i described . will update if i still have stuttering
It seems like the grey faces seem to also be accompanied by the stutters so im assuming its related to the windows 11 update.
Just played for a little bit. I had a stutter followed by a immediate grey face for a split second of a zombies face.
and no i feel like its the game somehow. because other games im not having these issues.
But wasnt this update fixed by a nvidia driver?
I don't know, I've never had a problem with stutter in the game.
Here is another problem. When I climb those brick chimneys on the buildings I see these graphical issues.
What kind of storage do you have? This sounds a lot like stutters due to bad storage or running out RAM
Or it could just be shader compilation
M.2 gen 4 and 32gb ddr5 ram 32gb
This stuttering and issues started about 1 month ago after the windows update
Rtx 5080 16gb vram
Max settings with Ray tracing
Have you been running out potentially? The game can pretty easily use about 12gb which if you have a bunch of tabs open can run out even with 32gb ram
Also there is a chance it’s just shader compilation stutter, for modern games every time a new effect loads in it’ll do a stutter but after that the shader is compiled
Updating OS and stuff can clear the shader cache, which causes the stutters to come back
Il reinstall the gpu driver and reinitilize shader comp
If it started after the windows update, then it's probably related to it. There are so many people who have so many problems with the latest updates in other games..
And it's also a good idea to clear the shader cache after updates
Good to know
Nothing seems to be off in the crash log so really weird that your having stuttering issues, I bet it’s just the windows updates like the other dude said
Will update in about 10 minutes. And I wish I could reinstall my old version of windows. But I can't roll back without doing a complete reinstall. But I guess I have to suffer for now. It just sucks because its constantly stuttering.
and u can also delete video.scr in Documents\dying light the beast\out\settings\ So it makes a new one
Il do that once I reboot my pc
Should I keep raytracing enabled on my 5080? Is it too much?
And thanks yall
