Me and my friend are trying to play coop and its not working. we both own it on steam. please help

Have you actually unlocked it yet? You have to do a few missions after the prologue to actually unlock it.

Hey, if you haven’t progressed past the “Markers of Plague” quest, then it will be locked off.

However, if you have passed that questline and you have your party privacy to open or friends only, I would send a support ticket over to Techland Support, so they may look into it for you.

Someone is telling me in dm that its steam family share and I'm not turning that off cause as far as I can tell I would have to remove everyone

After querying with one of the other moderators, Steam Family Share would not cause Co-Op instability in Dying Light 2.

Hello, When my friend tries to join a game (which we played yesterday without any problems), she gets a message saying "the game you're trying to join is no longer available." I can't join her, nor can she join me. We're in the same storyline (we were literally played together yesterday). But today there is a problem. This is the second/third time this has happened, and recently we simply uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and it worked. But not for long.
Please help me because I don't want to reinstall the game every time.

you can check ''verify game files'' through steam options or just leave and enter the game again....happens to me from time to time connection is dropping in some cases I needed to restart my laptop

Should i leave game for today and try tomorrow? What if the game still doesn't work?

After every reinstallation of the game, the co-op mode works, but only after a few joins and suddenly stops working.

check your status/if it says network connected/then you are good---from your side/dont know what else could you possibly do....turn wifi off and on again...

maybe slow net connection from your friend side?

yes im connected to network... friend too. I don't think she have slow net cuz we are on vc and everything seems good and in other games too.

sadly nothing you could do...as I said most likely steam servers problem....Im playing a lot co op and its happening to me too/connection drop/and getting disconnected from the game and receiving same messages as both of you...but it last only for couple of min and im able to return to co op game again
