No DirectX12 option in settings

when i try to swap renderering methods i only have directx11 and directx12 ulimate (raytracing) but not regular directx12 which it sounds like based on what i find online should be an option

From memory DX12 ultimate was removed so I am going to assume you either haven’t updated your game or are on pirated copy

i just redownloaded the game and i have it through steam

You have dx12 ultimate automatically when the game detects that your graphicscard have support for it. dx12 and dx12 ultimate are the same thing. only that ultimate adds support for DirectX Raytracing, Mesh Shaders, Variable Rate Shading etc.

oh so if i turn that on it won’t automatically turn on raytracing, it just gives me the option to after i turn it on?

No. You choose in the graphics settings whether you want ray tracing or regular low/medium/high etc.

ohh okay so if i just turn on d3d12 ultimate that’s not gonna turn on raytracing unless i change the other settings after
