This is my second playthrough, and I've seen this both times. Both near a similar area, a door in a tunnel filled with Volatile "Hive matter", the stringy gorey crap from volatile hives. It SEEM to imply there's a mechanic similar to DL1's Following Volatile Nests, or DL2s hives you can find in previously completed GRE labs. I'm not just missing something, right? Are there SUPPOSED to be lootable volatile nests? That would be amazing. But there seems to be no map indication with the little blue volatile head icon seen here, and definitely no way to get into what seems to be the hive entrance. Searching online brings up literally no information. Is this cut content, planned content, upcoming DLC?

Really? I've never seen a single one in my prior playthrough. Are they something that shows up outdoors? I've only seen this message a single time.

there are 3 guaranteed tunnels that have 1 hive each night, one is near the exiles cave, the other one is near the silos & the last one is near the baron's castle / military convoy far down right in the map. Any other locations that have hive matter around have just a % of spawning at night

No idea how I've never seen these. I've actively searched around those meat tunnels at night before and never seen one
