Hello everyone, I need urgent help with a lost save file after the new update!
The Issue:
After updating Dying Light 2 on the Epic Games Launcher today, my old progress is completely gone (I lost about [Insert Estimated Hours] hours of gameplay). The game is only giving me the option to start a New Game.
What I have tried:
Restarting the game and PC.
Verifying game files.
Checking the save and backup folders (Documents/dying light 2/out/storage).
Has anyone else on Epic Games run into this issue and found a fix? Any insight or a specific workaround for recovering saves after this update would be highly appreciated!

Sandra Leblondel After trying to fix by myself, restarting, uninstalling both the game/Epic and countless of online shinanigans I discovered something. Fortunately I have backup of my game saves, apparently after the update 1.25 seems like Epic or the game (I'm not sure) moved to a new save location. So here's what I did:

- I copied my backup save files
- go to Epic > Library > click the 3 dots on Dying Light 2 game > then clicked the folder with search icon (it routed me to the actual game save location.
- Then I pasted my backup save files to the new game save location (C:\Program Files\Epic Games\DyingLight2StayHuman\ph\work\out\storage\'bunch of numbers'\save)
- Launched the game from Epic and boom, my old game save with +250hrs of game play shown in the game main menu.

I have the same issue, I cant find my file and i have more than 200 hours jajajajajaaj wtf. I have find the Ph FILE BUT INSIDE THERE ARE 3 OTHER FILES, which is the one with the backup?

I found mine under the documents folder

If the folder was empty, I just moved the saved files and it worked.

if you have saved it in the cloud also works ? I have followed those steps and in the folder storage, inside the folder with a bunch of numbers I only have an archive called Profile, I dont have any save

Sorry my bad..you can copy from your old photo everything (documents) to thr ph folder where your game folder is located.

As I have already done it, the message that appeared on my PC doesn't appear now, but in the game, a message appeared saying that one file with a older version of the game was availeble
