Game freezes completely when staying at the menu screen doing nothing for 15-30 minutes | Dying Light | Page 1

I have been loving The Beast so much, but this one bug has been infuriating me for the past few days.

When you open the menu screen, and do nothing for 15-30 minutes straight, the game just entirely freezes.
Buttons aren't registering, start button also does nothing—

The only way to fix this issue was to just restarting the game, which is really infuriating especially if this bug occurs in the middle of a mission (pausing cause for ex. having to go to the bathroom or doing something else for a long periods of time) and you have to start all over again.

I love this game alot, but please fix this bug. Thanks.

Should mention that i play this game on the PS5 and have had this bug happening to me for the past few days.

I don't know if this bug extends to other platforms like Steam or Xbox, but i'd highly assume so
