Even with high fps my game feels choppy, any help is appreciated.

So i have a rtx 3070, and am running the game on high, without ray tracing, and getting 70-90 fps, which should be high, but the game feels choppy as hell regardless, of the fps. It eats up about 95% of my gpu, which i really cannot understand, since my gpu should be more than able to run the game. My cpu is just fine, at around 50% whilst playing.

Any help is appreciated, as i really love these games but am having this issue on both dl2, and the beast, and cannot play any of the games, because of how horrible the frames are.

check your cpu and gpu frametime

one or the other should be higher, create a chart and see what is your avg

after that, limit the fps you have to that avg, maybe a tiny bit lower, but that is the gist of it

even if you have high fps, you can have crazy ass frametimes, which well, probably makes your result

dl2 has a built in benchmark so you can check it out there

i ended up solving it, it was the upscaling, that was the issue, and latency reduction, when fixed them it got a lot better
