There is a shelter on an island which only has one bed.
By doing a side quest, the entire island is unlocked as a safe zone.
In my opinion, since the entire island is made as a safe zone, it would have to have a backpack and a crafting table.

it's a safe spot, not a safe zone so the lack of crafting table and backpack is intended 🙂
