How does the shared progress work

When you and your friend start on the same mission and say
“Let’s play together!”
After you two join you both do the main mission you do on their game instead, as you finish the mission. The mission for you will finish on your game and for theirs

So you both do the same mission and same progress through it

It’ll pass onto your game after you leave their game

@latent gyro does it work with side missions as well? Because I'm soft lock the one I'm trying to do the achievement for

Hmm I’m not sure about side missions but I’m sure it will

Just that if you completed a mission and somebody joined, it wouldn’t affect theirs by making that mission completed just keeps it the same as it was for them before

It works for everything aside from safe house I believe

Another down side is you won't get items from side quests but you will get xp
