Game suggestion.

Add cheat codes gta style like infinite ammo. Would be highly appreciated by many of us. And before someone says this will ruin the game, i would like to state the obvious and say cheat codes are OPTIONAL. Just like difficulty settings are OPTIONAL.

Because people are so sensitive to anything i say in life i have to tread so carefully and walk on egg shells. So what have i done this time to offend or upset? Is it wrong to respectfully ask for cheat codes? Is it a really stupid idea in your expert opinion?

And i even mentioned how it’s an optional thing emphasizing it will not ruin the experience for anyone.

I think they really should add cheats for console players, especially since pc players have access to mods and it's allowed majority of the time. The only people that would complain are those who think it would ruin the fun of everyone, despite the fact that it would be their choice to use them or not, or the pc players that don't want console players to have any fun.

@willow stone The thing is, Dying Light’s survival tension is strongest in the early game when you’re weak, low on supplies, and every encounter is risky. That’s exactly where cheats like infinite ammo or god mode would erase the challenge.

By mid- to late-game, you’re usually loaded with weapons and ammo anyway, and if someone really wants cheats, the PC version already supports mods for that.

Again, it is optional. You play your game how you like, others will play how they like. Everyone wins. And also. Also. Cheat codes can be activated on a 2nd or 3rd playthrough and they can be deactivated at anytime. That’s what OPTIONAL means. Sir.

Why not just let people have their fun? It wouldn't affect those that don't wanna use cheats at all.

Maybe he has tendencies for dictatorial complex behavior. I hope he doesn’t but exactly, people should play their game how they want, it doesn’t affect him whatsoever.

I play a soulslike on hard mode and i played another on easy mode (lies of p).

Just options and no one forcing me. My game my choice. I paid for it.

u can use cheat engine etc in singleplayer so dont rlly need this, or mod the game how u want

You can only do that when you play on pc. Console players don't have access to that. Hints the Playstation tag for this post.

ig consider pc idk, consoles are never meant to compete with pc interms of having freedom of how u want to play ur game modded or not etc

i used to play on console years ago and i accepted the downsides and later on switched to pc to have freedom so kinda just expect consoles to be used in this kinda way

Never said it was meant to compete. Just that they should add cheats for console players. Dude is telling people to drops hundreds if not thousands of dollars to get a decent gaming rig that they'd be forced to upgrade every couple of years to run the new games without crying like pc players did for borderlands 4 when they couldn't run the game at all. If you don't like someones post, simply don't read it or don't join it. Let people play how they want to play and ask for things they believe should be available since pc players get all the mods and cheat engine and all that.

u pay extra and u get extra thats just how it is and always was, console is a good way to play games on a budget but dont expect anything more advanced

and idk what cheat codes are, if u mean like outpost codes u can redeem those on any platform, but idk what they are

also idk i had no issues with borderlands 4, in 1440p high with dlss quality i got around 100 fps without framegen etc
