The elite is on the bridge that cross the river East of the Monastery where you and Olivia base up. You will have to do a puzzle go access it.
The needle is Southeast of there on the map, you will have to go through a mountain to reach the park ranger outpost.
Once again a small puzzle, some zombies to slash, a door to lockpick and the gun is yours.

On the roof of the building, behind a hard lock door there is a cupboard on the wall which need to be knocked on 77 times before opening, granting the Legendary machete and the recipe.
Be aware the machete is of limited use and can't be repaired, though it is similar to the korek machete from DL1 and the glitched military machete from DL2 as it deal incredible damage.
